It's 2025! My last and final blog

Hey yall!

It is 2025! Happy New year! A lot has happened back in 2024. 2024 just flew by so quick! Looking back at all my previous post, I only posted once back in 2024. And, things has got me thinking, I have been so busy lately living my life, focusing on my work, focusing on my family that it made me less active in social media especially blogging. Don't get me wrong, I looooveee blogging. It is my way to tell all my pent up stress and stories (eventhough none reads it) LOL... but that's what make me like it. I know nobody reads it... maybe 2-3 people whom I don't know xD

I started blogging way back in 2007. My first ever blog that I created when I was in Uni. It is more so of a trend back then. By the way this current blog is my second blog. Have no idea what happened to the the first one. The first one was the one I created back in 2007. This second one was created back in 2009.  Have no idea why I created the second one but when I look back on my first post, ahhhhhh now I know why.. LOL..

Anyway, as per my title, this will be my final and last post in blogger.com. Meaning, I have decided to no longer post anything here. But I will still log back in from time to time just to get this blog up and running and not risk being deleted by google due to inactivity.

-------------------------------------------------

A lot has happened.... You know when you have reached a certain age and this sudden urge of nostalgia kicks in making you want to look back at all your old photo's, googling up your hometown back in the 90's and 00's just to re live the moment? yea I'm at that stage.. If I can turn back time with all my memories intact, I would like to re live all those moments... the 90s and the 00's are the best era!

But we are in the era of "wokeness"... I call it full of bullshit. xD The Americans created that wokeness culture and thank god those things are not contagious to other countries especially in ASIA. This is because we are deeply rooted with our culture and family.

-------------------------------------------------

Summary of my 2024? I travelled around a lot for work (my work requires me to travel). My travel schedule in 2024 is crazy... Went to 10 countries in 2024. Hopefully this year I can ease up my travel. Work travel is tiring.. I can't bring my husband everytime I travel for work (eventhough I want to bring him) because his work is linked to the Malaysian high court.. He is a commisioner for oath, hence his service is needed by many people and communities. A noble work by giving back to the country. :) Oh... in 2024 my anxiety hits to an all time high xD... this is self explanatory of the type of work I'm in.

-------------------------------------------------

My wish for 2025 is for a better job that is less stressfull then what i am currently doing and a generous pay salary that fits all my responsibility. My heart wants to go back to my hometown KK, Sabah and work there. But the Sabah Labour Ordinance there and the pay rate in KK still sucks. Sucks as in.. an executive salary in KL is equivalent to the manager salary in KK. And a manager salary in KL is equivalent to a head/director salary in KK. Head/director salary in KL equivalent to?? None existent in KK. Yep, that's how bad the pay difference between these two states.

-------------------------------------------------

Anyway, this sums up everything (I think xD) for my last and final blog... and thank you... Thank you Blogger for always being there for me back in 2007 until today 01-Feb-2025. 18 years of blogging. And thank you readers... whoever you are for lending your time to read my blog, eventhough it is crappy hahaha.....  but, the curtains are closing and it is time to say goodbye...

- Feeling sad as I type this :( -

Sayonara everyone! And I wish everyone who reads this to live a better life than before..

Thank you for reading!

Goodbye!

10 December 2023

2024 is just around the corner...

The older you get, the busier you get, the quicker you feel how time flies. 2023 went by just like that. And in a few more weeks we welcome 2024.

So what's my wish for 2024? Honestly, I have no idea. I'll just go with the flow, prepare myself physically and mentally for 2024 and be stronger in addressing issues and problems that I will face head on but with grace. Hope for the best in 2024.

I've been travelling a lot this year (2023). All of it are work travel instead of leisure travel. And everyone knows how tiring it is when you travel for work. This is my all time record of travelling.. and all of it in 2023... Countries I travelled in 2023:

1. Mumbai, India
2. Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam
3. Indonesia (Medan & Jakarta)
4. Krabi, Thailand
5. Melbourne, Sydney Australia
6. Papua New Guinea
7. Bogota, Colombia
8. Madrid, Spain
9. Doha
10. Singapore
11. China

These are all international countries that I travelled for work in 2023. Domestic travel is every month since January 2023 until December 2023. To be honest, I was really not prepared for 2023 since the travelling was not planned earlier. Thankfully all the rushed visa application process was approved quickly. I was super jet lagged and tired... physically and mentally in 2023. Like I mentioned earlier, for 2024, I'll just go with the flow and prepare myself physically and mentally.

Below are some of the snippets in 2023 :)

This will be my final post for 2023 :)

Till then,
Stay tuned..

ITS 2022! - A late entry for 2022

Why is blogging getting more and more unpopular? Blogging was super popular starting back in 2005. Everyone was using it as it serves its purpose as a personal diary.. albeit being online and is publicly published to the public in the world. So why is blogging getting less and less used?

I for once still use it. Although this is my second account. The first one had to be deleted as it contains past things that I am not fond of. Blogging is still a way for me to get everything from my head and chest...and into this white piece of document. In other words, I still use it but rarely, and it is a way for me to continue on writing about what I feel and experience, so that as the years come and when I look back at this blog, there are things where I can look back and reminisce part of my memory and experience that I may have forgotten.

Well, enough of me going all wise and all xD I guess my age is starting to show? Hah! I started blogging when I was 18 years old, 2007 to be precise. And now... in 2022, I am 33 years old. how time flew.

As I sit here while listening to traditional Chinese traditional instrumental bamboo music it occurs to me that hey... we are mid year in 2022. Another 4 more months to December 2022. And this is my first blog for 2022. LOL. I am getting lame :P

Alot happened to me since 2020. The Covid Pandemic, Resigned from RSPO and started in a new company with a very challenging position. Although it is challenging, it is still within my industry background. I would say that the company that I currently work at is lucky to have me with them. With the amount of work I did to clean up all its legacy mess, and weirdly it starts to appear when I hold that position. One thing about legacy mess and problems, it is a fucking time bomb. And what a time to appear when I hold that position. LOL.

I miss travelling. Last time I use to be so eager to travel, eventhough it is work travel. Especially overseas travelling and work travelling. But now, I would like to avoid travelling as much as possible. Especially work travels. Not because of Covid, but due to stress, work load and just tired. I don't mind travelling, if it is with my husband and family, but if it is work travelling, the stress doubles, the work load doubles, and the tiredness. Especially if it is a long haul flight, Ohhhhh Boy~ My limit for a long haul flight is 6 hours. Anything above 6 hours I would like to avoid it as much as possible especially if there is transit in between.

2022 I am just trying to finish up everything to my most potential. I have plans for 2023. It is my ambition, my dream to work overseas. Canada, New Zealand, Switzerland, Sweden to name a few *wink-wink*. Why? It is very cliché to say because it is a dream to work overseas. Why I want to work overseas is simple. You gain further knowledge, and insight. Well, what is the difference of gaining knowledge and insight in your own country? Well, the difference is simply because of culture and belief. I have been in the sustainable industry for 10 years. Different country have different ways of thinking, different views, different belief on how they think. Especially in a country where a person that have been in the industry for 20-30 years without being exposed to how different other people of different nationality, other culture think or handle things. Because they were brought up and shaped from such a young age have made their belief to be cemented as it is, without wanting to go out from the box. Therefore, for me to be around that type of belief, that type of how people handle things, and that overall thinking does not promote any positive growth at all for myself. And because of this, I felt things are stagnant. The opportunity to grow further is only within that box, within that particular set of belief. That is why I wanted to work overseas, to gain knowledge and insight that is out of the box that I could not find in my own country.  And I believe this is an opportunity of a lifetime to grow further. PLUS, I would be lying if I say I don't feel excited and eager to work overseas. :D

My cousin said better start searching now if I would like to work overseas. It takes a bit of time and TONS of patience. I will... slowly but surely, as well as DOA (Prayer). Prayer to god is important as well. If he wills it, he will allow it to happen. In sha Allah.

Welp... it is 11.55pm. Saturday. 5 more minutes till Sunday :D. I'll end my first blog here. Might continue, and release more blog if I have free time to do it :D

Till then, Stay Tuned!

My first post for 2023! Finance/accountancy auditor VS Sustainability auditor

Today I will be writing my own personal opinions on a job career called Auditing. I'm not talking about finance and/or accountancy auditing (which is the most typical and well known auditing jobs). No, today I will be talking about my auditing career in the sustainability area.

"Huh? Sustainability audit? What is that? Does it exists?"

You'd be surprised that "sustainability" is currently becoming more and more demanded in every industry.

Before I go on talking about sustainability audit, let me briefly explain to you what sustainability is all about.

Most might have the knowledge of sustainability but majority (from my experience interviewing and giving webinars) many would say, sustainability = protecting the environment which means, no deforestation, protect the wildlife and so on and so forth. Well, if I were to tell you that Sustainability is actually a larger picture and it is part of your daily life and/or job too.

"Really??"

Yes! Sustainability is not only about the environment, but social and business aspect as well.

"Social? Business?"

Sustainability in social consists of two things, workers and the communities. Workers aspects consists of fair labour, no forced labour, no recruitment fees, rights of workers and etc. Communities aspects consists of rights of communities, FPIC (Free, Prior, Informed, Consent), Respecting communities rights and etc.

Sustainability in business concept is whether the operation that is operating could generate the required revenue in order to sustain the business.

"What about sustainability in our daily life?"

Well, how's work life balance sounds? Are you currently balancing out your personal life and your career? Do you find yourself having trouble sleeping due to stress (thinking about work, issues with the kids and etc). Sustainability is huge. And sustainability is long term. There are no short term in sustainability. It is how you manage and sustain the outcome with minimal impact in the long run, which is beneficial for you or your business at the end of the day.

.................

Now on to the main topic. Sustainability audit. To name a few schemes and standards on sustainability. Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), Malaysian Timber Certification Scheme (MTCS), Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO), International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC) and etc.

There are not many auditor's in the world that are competent and qualified to conduct sustainability audit. Easy example, lets take RSPO P&C (Upstream), there are roughly 175 or less, qualified auditors. And there are approximately, 533 Certified Mills worldwide under 124 companies as of June 2023. Mind you, one RSPO P&C Certificate, the audit process takes an average 5-6 days. The longest audit can take up to one and a half week. Plus, it is not a 1 man audit show. Average team members for one audit is 3-4 auditors in a team.

The difference between finance/accountancy auditing and Sustainability auditing is quite big. The only thing remains the same in auditing despite what area you are in is basically the basic in auditing. Which is the audit triangulation.

In finance/accountancy audit, auditor's will mainly be at the office, looking into documents and past records hoping that the ins and outs are tallied with the statement as well as no hanky panky being done. Whereas sustainability audit, if you are auditing forestry, palm oil, Biofuel and etc yes there are still documentation review, but that is half a day at most. The rest are site visits, site verifications, stakeholder consultation and interviews.

"What do you do when visiting the sites?"

Well, a lot! I'll try to summarize it briefly. To name a few, we look at environmental aspect such as clear borders between estates and community lands and/ or Forest, no observed deforestation, no encroachment of area, no open burning, Wildlife sightings (especially rare, threatened and endangered species - RTE) and etc. On Social aspect, we look into illegal workers, forced labour, child labour, mercenary sightings, workers quarters, clinics, canteen, community visits, stakeholder consultation and etc. And not to forget best management practices (BMP), proper PPE usage, OSH, Risk Matrix, Waste management, blanket spray, house keeping, Palm tree situation (if the tree is sick what does the site do to manage it?) and etc. Most important are the interviews that is conducting during site visits.

Quite different compared to finance/accounting auditing right?

"Is sustainability auditing hard?"

Compared to finance/accountancy audit, I would say yes. This is because companies are being deeply monitored by NGOs and audit reports from sustainability audits are being heavily scrutinized not just by NGOs, but communities, governments, accreditation body and even scheme owners. It is not easy. If you are working in a certification body, your ethics, Mental, Moral and honesty are always being tested from left and right, up and down. Be strong in those aspects. Being in a sustainability auditing industry is a huge high risk. It is not for everyone. The experience is valuable, but to become a qualified one, you need to go though a rigorous qualification requirement that takes years.

"Can a finance/accountancy auditor become a sustainability auditor?

Unfortunately no. This is because the requirement to become one needs someone with above 5 years of experience in the sustainability industry that is exposed and experienced to sustainability compliances. Compared to finance and accountancy auditor, anyone with a diploma or degree can apply for a work at any finance sector or auditing firm and you are trained there. Whereas to become a sustainability auditor, your educational background can be anything... but the requirement is that you will need to get the necessary experience in relevant sustainability industry (palm oil/forestry/biofuel/etc) only then can you apply to become one. Not to mention it is not easy to get into these sort of industry.

Now to address the big elephant on this matter, the big big question on this... How effective are these sustainability schemes?

There are 50-50 opinions on this. Some say it is worthless because there are still companies running rampant on deforestation and social issues. Some say it is effective to curb the issues. Some say they are in between.

Yes, there are still issues surrounding sustainability and the commitment to sustainability. But if there are no monitoring and compliance audit being done on these companies then who will do it? The government? The country? Are you 100% percent sure this will be effective? Because these companies are also contributing a lot to the economy by providing job opportunities to those in need. At least with these sustainability scheme (with cooperation from all parties such as the country itself, governments and NGOs) there is something to hold a grip on them and ensuring their commitment to sustainability. If not... and if let them be, the situation will be much much more worst then what is happening now.

"What about boycotting the product made from those companies?”

Are you sure boycotting is sustainable in the long run? We take palm oil for example. Are you 100% sure that other agriculture that is going to replace palm oil will be sustainable and could meet the demand and flexible yield derivatives of palm oil since it has the highest yield in the world despite being planted in a small area compared to other crops?.

Estimated calculation can be made, but don't take this as it is since each crop has their own calculation which is different. And some crop yield very much depends on the season, type of soil, Fertilizer used and etc.

For example, we take a minimum average yield per Ha of Palm oil Fresh Fruit Bunch of 1Ha - 10MT/FFB, and average OER (Oil Extraction Rate) of 20%. If 1 Ha produces 10MT FFB per Ha, the amount of Palm Oil (CPO) you'll get is 2MT. To get 100MT of Palm oil, you will roughly need around 50HA of land. (But this is only a figure. Some companies I know can get up to 18-30MT of FFB per Ha). Therefore, the total Ha area to get 100MT of Palm Oil is lesser than 50Ha with palm oil tree planted about nine meter's apart resulting in 128 to 140 trees per hectare.

Now if we were to replace Palm oil with Olive Oil, you will need approximately roughly around 400-600 olive trees per Ha and estimated to produce around 40 Quintal of Olives. 1 Quintal of Olives is equivalent to 100KG. So 40 Quintal of Olives is equivalent to 4,000KGs of Olives and if we were to convert it to MT, it would be around 4MT.

More trees to plant, the larger the areas to be cleared and more emissions are released.

That said, each of us has our own opinions about sustainability. And each industry should have their sustainability goals in place.

Going back to my main point here is the distinct difference of auditing between finance/accountancy auditing and sustainability auditing. Everyone can become an auditor, but it takes skills to become a good one. And not everyone are keen, brave enough and mentally capable of becoming a sustainability auditor.

Sustainability is becoming more and more demanded and the awareness for sustainability is getting bigger.

And with that, I will end my blog by saying, the world needs more qualified and competent sustainability auditors!!

Till then, stay tuned.

2021 Blog Update!!

Hello there!

It is 2021..  a very late entry to 2021 tho xD. I started this blog since 2009. I had an old blog which was created back in 2007/2008 ish? But it is so trash LOL.

Anyway, been blogging for 11 years now. And I'm 32 years old this year. How time flies and now i'm this career woman, married, but without kids xD

There were instances where you suddenly thought of the old days during secondary school, in this case, I was thinking alot about my days in SM All Saints. Feeling nostalgic as I aged. I can't believe that it was just 15 years ago since I finished highschool. I kept on remembering the days I was in SM All Saints. I don't know why I'm feeling nostalgic, maybe its the age? Or maybe it has been that long since I left KK? is 14 years long? xD

I don't remember if I still have pictures being kept during my days in All Saints, but I do still remember how the school looked like and all the nooks and crannies xD. I have photographic memories, so excuse me if I remember those small petty things xD The problem with photographic memories is that, when things change, you tend to be confused at first, and it will take awhile for you to be back on track.

When I came to Semenanjung to continue my studies in Kedah back in 2007, I was young but not naive ya (early exposure fault) and it was that age where you tend to enjoy life as much as you can. Biasa la, baru keluar dari sarang kan xD. Two years I was in Kedah doing my pre-degree studies. After that in 2009, I continued my degree studies in Puncak Alam, Selangor for a good 3 years (Until March 2012 only). I did went back to KK for a good 3 months after I finished my final semester exam... But I came back to KL and stayed at my sister's place because I was so adamant that I wanted to work in KL/Selangor. Came back to KL July 2012, and after that never went back to KK. Settled down in Peninsular for good. But I do go back to KK, once a while, during public holidays or when I am on leave.

But since my jodoh is with a peninsular guy, makin susah la mau balik KK. Susah in terms of, I need to plan my leave in advance and the husband's leave in advance, making sure no urgent work (training, work events, conference, audit and etc) clashes with our planned annual leave. Planning to get annual leave takes months of preparation xD The only leave that is easier to plan is Raya leave. xD

Jadi sambung... after working in semenanjung for 9 years, it came to me that I want to either go back and work in KK, with the same salary offer or more... OR, I would like to work overseas please :D My dream is to be able to work overseas and get a 5 figure salary that is above 20K USD. Yes, I have high ambitions xD. *Sigh* how I wish I can get a job in the states, or Canada, or New Zealand. Any job under the sustainability department? It can be palm oil or social/labour issues related :D. I am super qualified! xD

Speaking of sustainability, I would never.. in 100 years, would think that I will become an auditor. It never crosses my mind until, I became one in 2020. Not finance auditor ya, RSPO & MSPO auditor. The challenges of my job is quite ruthless, but I do enjoy the thrill of it. It made me realize that I am quite analytical when it comes to searching for a solution xD.

Anyway, it is getting late. I think that is enough of me blabbering my thoughts in this "online diary" xD. I just moved by the way. Jadi warga Puchong sudah. It has been 1 month since I moved to Puchong. quite happy with the new house that me and the hubs bought. :3

Yea, I think I better stop typing more. As I get older especially entering the 3 series, my eyes are no longer young like how it was used to be xD. By 10pm and above I will start to feel the drowsiness of wanting to sleep.

Yea, that's it! It is a once a year post, because there hasn't been any active audience to my blog. But if there is a request and an increase in audience, I would be more than happy to write in more interesting stuff in my blog.

So thanks for reading! Although I don't get much traffic readers, only a few people reads my blog xD. But I do appreciate your time to read and eventually feel a stranger expressing themselves. I know I sometimes mix my blog with english and Bahasa Malaysia, but feel free to google translate those words tho xD. I will always try my best to write my blog in english, but I also sometimes feel comfortable to mix in with my local language.

Thank you once again!

Stay tuned!

COVID-19 Global Pandemic - HOW A LOCKDOWN IN MALAYSIA SHOW PEOPLE'S TRUE COLOURS!

Hey Everyone,

I've always been wondering what would the world be like when 2020 strikes in. Why 2020? Because in Malaysia, back when I was in primary school, 8-9 years of age in 1997/1998? The current prime minister was always pressing hard about Malaysia being a developed country in 2020. I was waiting for 22 years praying that I would still be alive to be able to experience what Malaysia will be like in the year 2020. With all those art competition where kids back then was imagining flying cars, launch pad, flying house and etc. Instead of those happening, freakin' deadly virus spread throughout the world.

Malaysia's Prime Minister has decided on a lockdown starting 18th March 2020. Like, my birthday was on the 22nd of March and bloody hell what a way to celebrate my birthday.... at home..... with the cats.... watching netflix and chill. LOL

The lockdown started on the 28th of March 2020 and was supposed to end on the 31st of March 2020. However, the Lockdown then extended from 31st of March 2020 to the 14th of April 2020. A month worth of staying at home. Today is the 3rd week of the stay at home movement. Although deeply I wanted the lockdown to end on the 14th of April 2020, but seeing how new cases and death's in Malaysia keeps on rising, It is hard to lift this up. Social distancing, I think not many will follow. Even during this movement control that we are currently practicing in Malaysia, there are still citizens who do not practice social distancing. Thus the quick spread of the deadly virus.

The government has been introducing all sort of help to the citizens. One important aspect that I would like to acknowledge is the introduction of the 6 month temporary moratorium repayment for both cars and house loan. This would actually help alot of malaysian's in saving up money in times of dire needs that we are currently facing. Monetary help is also being introduced to those whose financial income is not sufficient to help them in times like these.

Albeit all of the help, there are still several citizens of Malaysia, yang masih tidak puas hati especially some of the celebrities. Like Bitch stop complaining! You are rich in your own rights! You have millions in your bank accounts and yet you dare ask the government to help provide financial help eventhough you people don't pay taxes?! And yet you people demand financial help from the government whose money they used to provide financial relief comes from the taxes that the citizens pay monthly? FUCK YOU!!!

Why don't you sell your Rolex watch? Your TAG Heuer Watch? Your Many Cars that you own? Your expensive handbags and etc so that you can actually help yourself in this times of dire needs.  You people boast soy much in instagram with your large houses, your many cars, your many trips to overseas, your shopping and yet now you say that you don't have any money? When you were paid alot before this pandemic happened DON'T YOU PEOPLE KNOW WHAT SAVING MEANS?? Padan muka Boros macam babi.

During this lockdown, I finally get to see and observe the Citizens of Malaysia's behavior. They shine bright light a diamond! There are those who are responsible by staying at home and only going out to buy groceries or going to the doctors. There are also selfish people. There are also stupid people. There are also stubborn people. And to top it all of, there are also people who are completely ignorant and oblivious about the situation.

Since the movement control operation (MCO) will end 14th of April 2020, I hope schools are still closed until there are zero COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. You can't expect kids to maintain social distancing, wash their hands and not play together while maintaining a 1 meter gap from each other. Come on la! be realistic. The schools does not have the capacity to monitor and manage all of them at once!

But the lockdown does in fact effect other people's job. In times of these, we all need to BERUSAHA and attempt to find any means to get help. It is hard, no one said that this would be easy. Dugaan ini cabaran dari Allah. Allah will not give you all these hardship that is well outside your capabilities. Help is always there when you need. For example, my ex office kakak cleaner's income all depend on her services to clean the office. But when the lockdown happened, she stops getting income and she can't support her family. She is a single mother. She can't go back to Indonesia because all flights overseas from Malaysia has stopped. She seeks help from the staff, and of course each of us chipped in money based on our capabilities. Some generously gave RM150, Some gave RM30, Some gave RM20 and etc. At least the total amount that was collected was enough to provide her at least 1-2 months of survival. By which time hopefully the situation gets better after that. That is in term of financial aid. In terms of food, neighbors still help provide essential food needs. In times like these, not only do we help ourselves, but to help other people as well.

Lastly, I do hope and pray that this pandemic will stop soon. The world is entering the recession phase since many country have temporarily stopped operating. For all the country affected by this Pandemic, it might take time to heal, but as long as its citizens are alive and thriving to move forward, the world can overcome this hardship.

Till then, Stay Tuned.

2020

Looks like this will be a once a year entry in my blog xD

How's it been? I'll try and be as active as possible. Since I am also quite busy in my daily life. I noticed that during my student life, blogging is so much part of my life that I blog every single day. Its just like writing stuff in my diary, but an online version, and it is public for the world to see. LOL

Anyway, year 2020. What will it bring me?

Well for starters, me and the hubbs bought a new house in Puchong area last year. First of all, Alhamdullillah, praise to Allah for giving us this rezeki. The apartment that we are currently in no longer accommodates the two of us. Yes, even though it is just the two of us, the apartment is already at its maximum capacity.

The new house will be in Desiran Bayu Puchong. It is already completed, but we are planning to renovate it especially the kitchen, where it will be fully renovated by taking up all free space at the backyard of the house for the kitchen. Since it is a Semi D house, the extra land at the backyard seems of no use. Eventually, there's work to do, and its not just the kitchen. Terbang $$$$ adeeeiiii matilanak.

Few pictures to show :)

This is what it looks like from the front

This is the side of the house where the hubs is planning to do a fish pond here. As you can see the backyard has a lot of space. That will be used for the kitchen.

This is the inside which will be the living room

This is the master bedroom with a balcony. Not sure if we want to keep the balcony tho.

The view from the Master Bedroom Balcony

And so, that's it for the house. If things goes as plan, then we will move in that house by this September 2020. Hoping that Allah will ease our plan and make our journey smooth this year and the year to come, Amin!

Stay Tuned.

29 March 2019

2019 I’m Back!! Hello 30!

WOW!! Its been 2 freakin' years that my blog has been inactive. Well, that's a first!

What have I been up to lately since my last post in December 2017? Alot!

Well, I am still working in the same company, my first job after I graduated in 2012. So it has been 7 years working with RSPO. Not the same position and the same department. The 7 years in RSPO, I have been into 3 departments with different position. I was the CEO's Executive assistant. Got bored, and was offered a position in Membership. Lasted for a good three years, got bored of it as well, and as offered to a more technical position in assurance. Now, still in assurance but was just recently promoted to Manager from Senior Exec xD Alhamdullillah!! Rezeki Allah tidak pernah salah tempat. The key is to be patient and evolve yourself. I came into RSPO with ZERO knowledge about the palm oil industry. But I endure it, SABAR and learn! Never stop learning!

So its 2019, I am now officially 30 years old. Gone were the days where my age starts with the number 2 xD 3 series huh..

2018 was a bit of an hectic and tiring year for me. Work travels :( From all my years of travelling, last year was the first I experience being late for my flight. Kebas tu kaki berlari pg gate xD sampai sampai jak terus masuk kapal, stewardess terus tutup pintu, Aku terus duduk kepanasan xD hahahaha

And last year was also the first amongst my travels to miss a flight! I never miss a flight. But last year was the year. I just came back from my work travels in Indonesia. Took the last flight back because we had to transit Jakarta first. I have another flight the next day morning at 9am, going back to KK. Balik rumah around 3-4am, hubbs aku rindu, the next day bangun jam 8am sebab tidak sedar alarm clock xD Apakau ingat sempat ka kejar flight jam 9am?? Well, fortunately, that is the only flight that I missed! syukur! 3 kali jak la hampir miss flight, berlari sampai kebas tu betis LOL xD Back to back travelling is tiring. :(

So that is 2018. Come 2019, I promised myself and the hubbs to travel for a holiday. And we did, a nice winter holiday in Xi'an China. Touch down Xi'an Airport, 1 Degree's Celsius greeted us xD. The next following day was -3 Degree's Celsius with snow fog. Jadi karas la ba tu Muka, kebas-kebas tu hidung xD. But it was a beautiful and awesome place. Highly recommended for muslim travelers. It is really easy to find halal food because Xi'an is famous for its muslim street and muslim quarters. Kiri kanan makanan halal. Its going to be a long post if I were to post about Xi'an, so it will be in my next blog xD

Oh yaaa... Neeja is getting married!!! alhamdullillah so happy for her!!

Kalau Allah mau bukakan hati hambanya, memang buka la tu hati. Never underestimate the power of God!! Sebagai Hambanya kita cuma mampu berdoa buat yang terbaik untuk seseorang.

2019 will also be a busy year. And yes, back to back work travels belum campur personal activities lagi. I can already feel it because Baru bulan 3 sudah pack xD I need 10 phones khas untuk alarm clock, baru bunyi power. Terus melompat dari katil. No time to snooze one by one xD In sha allah I can do it! Ya Allah, bagi la hamba mu the strength to overcome any barriers. Amin!

SINGLE, COUPLE, ENGAGED, MARRIED

Hi!

Gosh, its been four month since my last post in blogspot.  Yes I admit I am slowly becoming in active to blogging compared to my younger days.  24 jam kau ber blogging.

So far I have two blogs.  The first one was made in 2008, but that one has remained inactive for so long. I do not have the login credentials anymore because it was not made using my email address. After that I created a new blog, kira kira macam new life la gitu kan. So, this second blog is my current, active an ONLY blog I have.

Talking about new life, I created this new blog due to urgent circumstances back in 2009.  I couldn't delete the old blog hence the old blog still exist in the internet till today. Its quite annoying but heck, live and move forward kan :D

The new blog was created just a month before I knew my husband.  Have to thank his friend for introducing me to him via facebook.  Long story short, he persuaded me to comment on this girls facebook as she was bashing my islam religion.  And coincidentally my husband was invited to participate as well. Ooohhh my husband's facebook that time was SUPER private! No profile picture and you couldn't even add him on his own facebook! mystery mystery~

And so, after a heated debate with the girl, since I am obviously straight forward, I mentioned in one of my comment that I wanted to add as a friend on my husband's facebook but it was private and I couldn't add him.  The next thing I know, he added me in facebook.  So we DM in facebook, gave him my YM ID (Back then YM kan very famous :D) and he added me in YM.  So we had our very first personal chat in YM.  I was in my room in KK that time.

Well I was soooo curious on how he looked like. He still insists on not putting his picture in his Facebook profile.  After 2 weeks of YM-ing him, alas, he uploaded his picture in facebook as his profile picture.  Tapi, Apa paedah! Gambar muka tapi mata tutup! Buh!! hahahaha

Tapi dari sana, nampak la hidung dia yang mancung tu, muka tirus dia, and rambut kiut dia tu.  Terpersona juga la tengok.  But, I am still unsatisfied with the picture.  Kept on communicating on YM as normal with him, sharing info about myself, he shared things with me. After 2 weeks, he uploaded a new profile picture in his facebook, this time, Gambar separuh badan tapi Side face jak. Lagi! Apa Paedah!! hahahaha

That time, memang nampak betul hidung mancung nya tu.  I was thinking to myself that maybe he is a mix mat salleh, but no, he has that strong Chinese look and a hint of his Malay Jawa facial from his mom.

Again, He looks damn fine even for a side face picture. :D hahahaha

And so, after a month of knowing him through facebook, and YM-ing, at last, it was time for me to go back to KL to start my second semester Degree in UITM Puncak Alam (I hate this University) and to finally meet him! My first date with him was on December 23 2009, met him First time in Kinokuniya KLCC. And we stroll the KLCC garden. Not that Ideal, but, back then, still a student, so that is the only place that is convenient :D hahaha It was fun, no less, and it was memorable.  Every now and then, every time I went to the KLCC park, I will always have this nostalgic feeling, because it was the place where I first dated my husband, first kiss pun di sana. hehehehehe (Too much info, diam la kau!)

And so, yes, after almost 5 years of being together, we decided to tie the knot on the 12th of September 2014. Previously I hated September, but now, I LOVE September :D

So yea, still counting, this year would be our 8th year together and 3 years of being married :)

That say, I am looking forward for a long prosperous relationship and In Sha Allah, hingga ke Jannah. Amin!

Till Then,

Short Holiday stay at Grand Lexis Hotel PD

It was worth every bit of money that was spent on that short holiday.  Unfortunately it was only for 1 night.  Mr. Husband wanted a two night stay, starting from Friday, check out on Sunday, but since he has some work to do, We just try out the first night.  See how kan.

And it was AWESOME!! I booked a room with a private pool.  And what's more awesome is that we got the water chalet room! The Pool was unbelivable! Especially at night.  You know the romantic romantic, yellow dim lights. ehehehehehe, itu hal me and my husband, sooooo to any married couple that needs that relaxing night just for the two of you, Grand Lexis Hotel PD is the choice to go!

In order to go to our room, we will need to ride a buggy.  Because the room is located quite far from the lobby.  Again, buggy service was awesome!

Buggy service!

How awesome that the driver could drive in a small space like this.

While riding on the buggy

It was a great buggy drive, windy and a bit of sun.  What's more awesome is the room!

Love the room! especially the ceiling fan.  Not a good idea to use the aircond right right after a dip in the pool :P

A toilet that is luas.  Just the I like it!

The shower room, which is the left door has a link door to the pool.  So pandai2 la kunci pintu, if tidak pun, its a nice feeling bila mandi and the pool is just infront of you when you open the door.

See through glass to the ocean.  Sadly no fish :(

My Husband masuk2 jak the room, terus buka the door to the private pool.  Its very straight forward as it is the only door to the outside back from the room. Senyum dia excited!

Tadaaaaa... Awesome right! The pool has a 4 ft depth, so, if you were to bring your kids along, I advice you to keep an eye on them.

After spending a night at the hotel, it is time to check out.  Oh yea, the check in time is 4PM and check out time is 12 Noon.  We checked out quite early at 9.30 because we wanted to go to Nilai 3 and buy curtains.  Really need to change the curtains in our home as the curtains have not changed since the previous owner.  Baru Sekarang ada time mau tukar :P

Yes indeed, rambang mata bila sampai Nilai 3.  kiri Kanan banyak kedai curtains.  So we went to the curtain shop that has lots of varieties and that says, Free jahit service 1 jam siap.  Yup.  Itu sgt penting.  So we made a choice to go this one shop called star hill curtains something something. A chinese owner with a great personality.  And very generous in giving discounts. :D

At first my husband wanted the shiny material, but then I said i wanted matte.  Same colour and material, but I prefer the not so shiny type.  Certain borders can be shiny, but not all.  Awal2 I almost, allllmooooost agreed to take the shiny material.  As we were gonna make a two piece curtain, It'll be too much for me to handle the bling2 from top to bottom.  End up, I looked around again, trying to find the same material, same colour, plain and matte and I did found it.  Was happy and said that I would like to have the matte material into the two piece curtain design. The border that i choose can be shiny and bling bling because the whole curtain is matted.

And yes, after an hour and a half, it was complete.  And was soooo happy with the result!

Really happy with the material choice and Design!  Material is the thick sun block type.

The Border made the thing look very sophisticated.

Took the simple lace with a touch of gold stripes

Total?  Only RM390 for the whole thing!  Murah kan.  That is why it is much better to get household things like curtains and things in Nilai 3, because not only is the stuff cheap, and but the quality is also the best!  Tapi kena pandai pilih la. :P  Also, if you pay by cash, you will not charged the 6% GST.  However, with card, you will be charged with the 6% GST.

Stay tuned!
