1 more month to go!! I think after August my nerve is kicking in.  Even right now I feel like I have butterflies in my tummy. :D

Anyway, Wedding invitation Done!!

There's alot of stories behind that Gorgeous simple looking card.  As me and my fiance have different opinion and taste, well, the argument is there. But we still have a win-win situation going on. :D

At first I wanted to have a smaller version of the card, and probably a bit more design on it.  My fiance prefers it to be simple, well I... creativity kicking in that time, and I wanted the card to look "SO the grand.

So the win-win situation was, he picked the design, where else I pick the colour of the card, the type of font used, the font colour and the colour of the inner paper.  And look what the result is?  Both of us are happy with the outcome.  Lucky me for choosing the colour!

So we went and did our card at LH creative in Pudu.  Very cheap plus, there's alot of card options to choose.  Also, they even gave us free buntings. xD  Total card that we ordered is 2100, they gave 15 extra, and the price for each card is RM0.80 cents.

And this is what the inside looks like!

Its actually a two page invitation address.  The upper invitation is for the KK side, the below invitation is for the reception in JB.  Love it!

Did a bit of modification to the card.  Gotta put in my creativity as well.  Can't stand it to follow the design just like that.  :D

2 MORE MONTH

Hi yall,

Its gonna be 2 more month till my big day. :)

So far, everything is according to plan and the check list.  Its quite emotional for me as well this past month. The stress coordinating everything until the marriage.

So we've settled our resort apartment.  Yes, resort apartment, not apartment apartment.  At D'rimba Kota Damansara.  Rm1600 per month.  Pfft what the hell just go for it.  So we divide the fee to two, so each will pay RM800 for the resort apartment.  One MAJOR item settled.  So we do not have to worry on a place to stay after we are married.  So my fiance will be staying at the resort apartment for now.  Hmm what?  Oh yea, we've already bought furnitures as well.  THAT is why I said that one MAJOR item has been settled.

So my veil, All settle!  I have completed my veil and it is gaaaawwwjuusssttt! :D

Modelled by my own very lovely niece Elisa :) Ain't she cute or what?!  And it took me quite a few months to complete it.  Because its a lace and the veil itself is a net, its not easy to sew the lace onto it.  You can't just use normal sewing because the thread is noticeable through the net.  Very tricky, and that is why it takes time to do this.  I was just being patient while doing this.

So far I've settled mainly everything, But why do I still feel worried???  I am such a perfectionist.

Anyway, 2 more month!  how time flies by.

See ya after my wedding!  I will be Mrs. Dayangku Mazrianah aka Mrs.Ruzaini Haron. hahaha xD

VEIL SANDING DIY PART 2

FINALLY!! Veil conplete!! Well for the sanding in KK. It was a challenge, but saya jgk yg mau khawin kan, so suck it up and be patient :) 

There's a bit more touch up that I need to do.  But for the time being, Relax dulu.  Touch up to buat kejap jak. :)

So here it is!  PLEASE IGNORE THE MATA JULING FACE.  a month of sewing is not my cup of tea.  Mata pun pandai juling tgk benang and beads.  adedeiiii

DIY Veil Sanding

Hello There,

I took the liberty to make my own veil.

Rajin?  It all depends on your effort, innovation, creativity and patience!

Things you need:

• Brown paper for the Pola
• Your veil (Chiffon or Net)
• Lace/Border lace
• Scissors
• Lots and lots of Jarun Peniti
• Needle for sewing
• Benang
• Beads, you choice of pearl beads or normal beads

So what you'll need to do is, cut the Brown paper into a Pola.  It means that Cut the big brown paper into a Semi Circle or a letter 'D'.  It would be easier to cut if you have already an existing veil, lipat dua, put it on the brown paper, and cut according to the size.  If not then you will need to cut according to these length.

So, My measurement would be for the Number 1: 1.5-1.6 Meters, Number 2: 1.4-1.5 Meters depends on the length that you would like.  As for me, the length of my veil is paras pinggang, bawa sikit, and the length of Number 2 is at my siku.  So there you have it.

So first you need to cut the Pola and put it on the material that you want for you veil.  Like this!

Pin it with lots of Needle so that the material will not move around.  Trust me, letak banyak jarum peniti.  Nanti salah potong. :P  After, you will have the shape of a half circle!  Like this!

And the fun part is, you got to play with any designs you want!  like this few designs I did for instance.

Don't forget the Pearl Beads!!!

After a few moments, I tried it on, It was freaking heavy!! So I change the material and opted for Net Veil.

And betul, Tidak silap, memang lagi cun kalau pakail Net untuk Veil!  Ringan Giler!  And so I made up my mind and mula la jahit Lace tu. :)  Tapi before Jahit, I letak dulu lace yang I potong tu on the veil.  Pin kan dengan Jarum Peniti banyak banyak tau!  Jadi la Macam ni!

Puas hati tengok!  Sengaja bagi kosong on the top part.  Because I want to sew my Pearl beads on top! :)

Oh ya, Kain net tu I bought at Gulatis Euro Moda, around 14 ringgit per meter.  Tapi berbaloi jgk.  And the lace I beli full lace 2 meter at Nagoya Tesktil di Jalan TAR.  Border lace very the expensive.  Plus if you use Full lace, you akan dapat lagi banyak design and bunga2 on the lace and just patch it up on the veil.  

And so, Mula la menjahit.  2 hari juga la siap.  And this is the end result of the completed veil lace!

Yay!! Tapi JAP!! Belom siap lg ni.  jahit pearl beads will start today.  Dan akan mengambil masa yang agak lama.  So, patient!!! be patient. :) If you are patient, you will receive a beautiful end result at the very end of the day. :)

6 more month to go until the BIG DAY!!

I've been quite buzy this early of the year.  I was buzy preparing for the wedding!

Checklist Checklist Checklist.

Okay.  So I've done most of my shopping for my wedding clothes.  This is the part where money is crucially spent.  Just for the KAIN!

I've bought my Akad nikah material in Gulatis Euro moda Kota Damansara, as well as my reception in JB.  I've bought my Kain Sanding earlier in Medan which was in Champagne & Electric Blue in colour. Everything costs me around 1500++ just for the Kain.  And If I were to include the Tudung for the Akad Nikah, two veils and the Kain for the Pengapit, Everything costs around RM2420.  THAT and I have not yet bought my Tudung and Veil for the reception in JB. 

Those prices are considered cheap as I bought them in Jalan TAR and are Masjid India.  Very cheap, quality and beautiful! Please buy tudungs and veils in Jalan TAR and Masjid India.  There are TONS of them and very cheap too.  I bought my white beaded half moon shawl for my akad Nikah for only RM90.  Other places are selling it for like Rm100 ++ - RM200++ CRAZY! Sp better buy it here. :)

For the tailor parts.  Just for both my Akad Nikah and Baju Sanding in KK is around RM1100.  Luckily Mommy said she will sponsor the Door Gift.  Which consists of Silver Spoon and fork.  Very CUTE!  My cousin bought her wedding gift in this website,http://www.house-of-favors.com/.  She took the mug for her door Gift.

So insyallah, this will be my door gift!


















 

At least my door gift is usable.  AT FIRST I wanted to give them you know those really nice and cute fans?  Yep those, but then Mommy said better give them something that they would use and if you give them a fan, some of them would just throw it away.  *Ya betul jgk*. :P

So door gift is settled by my mom.  Now what is left for me to do is the invitation card, which Me and Jai is suppose to do later in May, Send my baju to the tailor for the reception in JB, Buy stuff for hantaran, aaaaaaaannnddd, some other accessory essential for me during my wedding, ex: Inai, brooch, Shoes and etc...

Officially Engaged!!!

Hello All!!

I am officially engaged!!!

During the engagement ceremony the situation was intense.  Well for me.  Because i was soooo nervous.  Lucky for me, my cousins as well as few of my friends were there during my nervous breakdown.  :D  Love you lots!

Anyway, here are the pictures during the engagement day :D  A very happy day for me. :)

So there you have it.  I am officially engaged!! :)  Insyallah the wedding will be on the 14th of September 2014 (Sunday)  it will be held at the Tabung Haji Hotel Ballroom in Sembulan.  Can't wait!  Well obviously I am just starting to get buzy with things. :(

Nikah will be in the morning and Sanding will be in the afternoon all in that one whole day.

Engagement day! Shopping kain nikah and sanding

Okay first and foremost, 1 more week to go until the engagement day! Excited, nervous, can't wait!

Anyway, I went to Medan last 2 weeks ago for my company major event. As usuall, palm oil then there's demonstration going on. Well you know, palm oil is a very sensitive and heaty subject or issue. Anyway, i did tried to find time to go this place called pasar ikan. NO it does not sell fish. For your info it selles kain and stuff. AND i did somehow managed to buy some lace for my sanding :) damn cheap ok. When i went to gulatis euro moda the lace they are selling are like rm450 per meter. I was like whaaaaat?!

The lace that I bought in medan is waaaay cheaper. And the material is the same as the ones in euro moda. Have a look!

So this is the Kain that I bought in Medan for my sanding.  I love it! :) Did spend waaaaaaay alot of time choosing.  All the laces are B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L :)

I realize that Since I am getting married Next Year, I need to send all my kain to the tailor as soon as possible.  My mom have been asking me to send the kain that I bought to the tailor since my design are abit complicated plus I am using lace, then the amount of time that they need to tailor my dresses will be like 5-6 month. @_@

So yeah, last week me and my hubbs Jai went to Euro Moda.  On saaaaalleeee..  I went a bit mental there.  Jai was like, " Baby, relax." hihi.. So I did went and look for my solemnization kain.  Was thinking to get like a chiffon, but somehow the lace was eye catching instead of the chiffon.  I told the salesperson lady that I wanted to try the lace and the lining on me.  And so she did.  No idea how she did it, but when the lining and lace was around me I immediately fell in love with it!

The lining is off white but the lace is just plain white.  Not that off white. Cause I can see a bit of yellowish there.  But probably it might be the lighting because when I looked at it, it looked kinda off white.  But yea,  let the picture tell you and you judge it. :)

Oh yea!! Bought a last minute tudung for my Merisik and Tunang day.  it was sooo pretty, but when I asked the sales lady on the price I was like.. WHAT! she said she will give me a discount.  Iwas hesitant at first, but then I thought to myself, " Once in a lifetime".  So yea.. Plus, I can even use it during other occasion right? :)

RM220.  Damn right its worth it!!

Ignore the eyes.  Was like rubbing my eyes and the eye shadow was completely remove.  So yea.

After all that.  I thought that everything was completed.  NO!  Received a last minute information and confirmation that the other side of the Family wanted to give out gifts.  Hantaran la.  5 dulang.  I was like WHAT?!  Since the agreement a few month ago was to not have any hantaran during tunang, but only during the Nikah part, they decide to go ahead with the hantaran for tunang.  Saying that it is their very strong adab protocol and stuff.  AND also the mom said the reason to give was to appreciate their menantu.  I was like.. Awwwweee.. :) Terharu. :)  So yea, decided on the 5 balas 7 hantaran.  Which I need to think NOW on the 7 things to give him.  Which eventually I need to solve it like this week as next week is the DAY!  

So I did think around asking Mr.Google on the things that are suitable to give for the hantaran tunang.  Only a few did managed to get my attention.  And so, I did have a discussion with my mom on it.  And she agreed on two things that she will do, as part of the hantaran tunang, fruits and kelupis (Sabah traditional delicacy).

So these are the things that I have bought for the hantaran tunang.

 Potpourri.  Which is actually a candle thingy.  I had an idea to put in Potpourri.  Bought it in Giant. :)

Cake!!! 

Other thing that I need to buy for the hantaran is: Chocloate, Kain Pelikat AND Kain samping + songkok.  Will be buying the samping and songkok this Saturday and Masjid India.  Where else to buy cheap and pretty samping right? But the samping in Masjid India are quality ones.  Because I remembered my Dad bought his samping there for thousand over ringgit.  @_@

So there's Fruit, Kelupis, Potpourri, Cake, Samping + Songkok, Kain Pelikat AND Chocolate which I will buy it when I am in the airport later.  Cheaper there. :)

Oh ya, One more thing, Bought a last minute shoe for my tunang. :)  Matching with the baju and Tudung!!

Bought it in summit.  Wanted a really simple shoe for my sanding. :)

Also!! Bought this famous Delicacy when I was in medan.  Bika Ambon!!  Ok la.. Not Bad :P

Baju Tunang

It will be another 1 more month to go for my Hari pertunangan :) Well lets get started.

It will be just a simple event.  No big hall, No grand events happening, No hantaran tunang, I repeat no hantaran tunang, It is just a simple hari tunang that I wished for. :) Simplicity always wins. I am not that into the heavy details that most people would prefer during their hari pertunangan, unless if it is my wedding day. 

Light sea turqoise green would be the color during my engagement day. :) Was having the most hardest time choosing. But one thing that stuck on my mind was the simplicity that i want for my engagement day.  So i choose this!  *note that the picture is abit so so..

There were lots of picture Whatsapping my mom, asking her opinion on which baju to choose.  FINALLY, I bought this baju in one of the boutique in Kota Damansara.  Mom liked it, I liked it. 

They have lots of Baju pengantin, Nikah, Tunang that is ready made for you.  Told the shop that I wanted something simple for my engagement day, so she gave me lots of choices, but finally I choose this one. Its actually Chiffon but you can't tell it because of the lighting.  Also the lining was a bit thick.

I just LOVE how they made the sleeves like this! 

And so I tried it on, and yes!! Just found the winner!  The price range for Baju tunang like this is not that expensive.  As the price range is from RM200-RM300.  Very reasonable.  The other baju nikah, sanding and all are also very affordable.  But kena pandai pilih la.. @_@

Guilty!  I just LOVE the way the beads are! It is actually hand made.  Very pretty!! I just got to try it on another go when I reached home.  And so I did. 

Aaannnnnnddd after testing it on and a bit of lakonan *ehem-ehem* siok sendiri baaaa.. Suddenly I felt excited BUT Nervous.  @_@

Showed it to Jai, and he LOVED it! :) And then after a few message and pictures with that Baju on, he felt nervous and excited.  Soooo okay, time to hang the baju back. :)

7 December 2013 is my merisik and engagement day. :)

Back in the days

Back in the days I was pretty wild.  I got drunk, I got high on weeds, I go clubbing, I go freedom parties (I wonder why do they stop having freedom parties) which can lead to the extreme.  You are in your teens and early 20's, so why not go for it?

But then, I've been having this thoughts and I started thinking.  When will all these stop?  if it stops what will happen? partying is seriously taking its toll on me.  In terms of health, money,career but not my studies.  Am I still going to spend money on parties when i am working?  Am i still going to clubs even when I am married?  What does this do good on me?  And that is where I realize that I need a break from everything.  That is where I took a break from those distractions and those that would distract me in to all those things.  I was not strong.  Not strong to hinder all the temptations.  Because I grew up with those type of influences, and I need a way to combat those things.

Eventually I did nasty things.  Which I do apologize to those that I hurt.  But I did not regret one single thing.  Because the path that I am in now, is what I want for my future.

Back in the days, I was very rebellious.  I hated going to class, I hated studying, I hated the lecturers but I still continued doing it.  Why?  Even-though I am rebellious the thought of my future is still intact with my mind.  Another reason why I hated my campus life is because I hated UiTM.  But nevertheless, that is where I met all my friends, and that is where i experienced everything.  There is always a reason why things happened.  Even if we don't want it to happen.  Look at me.  I'm getting married, had a blast-ful career, friends are everywhere.  One thing that I have learnt is that you gots to be patient.

Patient people will tend to receive more opportunities.  :D

The only thing that I could not eliminate from my old habits is Smoking.  Although I've changed to vapour,  there are some times where you feel you need a ciggy.  Kinda bad, but yea, that is how it is.

Back in the days all I can think of was my social life.  Which pretty much sums up that I am quite social.  Probably that is why sometimes people feel intimidated by me.  Well, it is not my fault for being outgoing.  I love being outgoing.  But sometimes there are times where you feel that you want to stay at home and do nothing. 

Can any of you please tell me how can I lose weight? haih.. diet? exercise?  lagi lain apa?

I know I know,  I've been inactive this past few month.

I've recently gotten back with a few past people whom I have lost contact with.  Facebook!  I love you.  You are the ones that link me to these people. :) Good friends are everywhere.  They are the ones that is always there for you.

Its fun when you get to to Karaoke-ing with them.  And knowing that they never did change their attitude! They are still being hilarious!

My mind is full of things that needs to be done a.s.a.p.. Work, Wedding cards, Doorgift, Baju tunang, Baju nikah, Pelamin, wedding organizer, food, Dewan, lose weight!  and etc.. etc.. etc..  How time flies really fast.  I have been to countless of weddings.  I was the guest.  And now, I am the bride inviting guest to my wedding!! 

I want it simple, contemporary and elegant FULLSTOP! I've been surveying all those wedding cards and saw all those oh over the top wedding cards.  It looks really nice.  But common, Its not like I am marrying a Tan Sri's Son. :P

I am keeping an eye on this card

Glamorous Rose!  I have been in contact through email with the shop.  And eventually they are giving me a pretty reasonable price :) 

Please not to mention door gift.  Been discussing it with my mom.  And I told her for door gifts I would like to give a simple but decorative hand fan. :) You know those fans?

 So this is the current "IT" trend of the wedding fan.  Very creative

So now, I am still discussing this with my mom, either to give the door gift  in both Days of Nikah and Sanding, or just during Nikah. I could eventually just give like a bunga telur during sanding? I think its better that way as Nikah would be held at my house, so giving people a fan would be better.  Panas, so ada kipas :)  Bunga Telur would be during the sanding in the dewan.  My stress would pretty much be organizing the wedding in KK.  As for in JB,  I can just relax and angkat tangan :P

The sanding in JB will be held in Dewan Jubli Intan.  JB confirm date for sanding would be on the 7th June 2014.  Told my mom that the nikah date would be on the 24th, and sanding could do it at night.  My mom said it is too tiring.  Better do the nikah on the 23rd May (Friday) Sanding on the 24th May (Saturday) .  So eventually it would be a two days event.  Then that means that it would be an increase in Wedding cards la ni.  @_@  Basically we took the school hols.  I took the start of the school holidays, and he took the ending of the school holidays.

My mom told be to buy the baju nikah in medan during my Meeting trip there.  She said banyak baju and kain cantik di sn.  Why not Jakarta?  pain in the ass if i were to go there. @_@

My theme color would be Grey :)  I have no idea why it is the trending wedding color right now :P  Than the sanding in JB would be Cream.  The colors are so vogue la.  usually people would take pastel colors for their wedding.  Which i find it notoriously sakit kepala. haha

Anyway, i really need to sit down an rethink the whole items for the wedding.  

This is the day where I dream of happening one day :) My wedding :)
