History of my Life. 12 September 2014

Hello and assalamualaikum.

I know its a late entry, because I have no time to update my blog.

So its official, I am Married!!! :) Mrs. Ruzaini Haron.  Heeeee or more known as Puan Dayangku.

What it feels like to be married? Feels super relieved, happy and relaxed.  I am finally married to the Man I love.

Honestly, i never thought that I would get married at 25 years old.  I mean when I was a teen I do imagine myself being married and all.  Imagine how it feels like being married, what are the emotions and all.  Never thought that on the 12th of September 2014 was the day I got married to the love of my life.  My soul, my everything.

During the Nikah (Solemnization), It was suppose to be 2.30pm sharp, but because the groom was a bit late, the ceremony starts after Asar prayer which was at 3.30pm.  How'd it go?  Smooth~ Sekali lafaz is enough to make us officially husband and wife in the eyes of Allah S.W.T as well as in the eyes of all the witness. I was so emotional that I cried.  I did tried my best to control and hold over my tears.  I was filled with Joy and happiness.  I just can't believe I am married.  My cousin Naz who was sitting beside me tried to kept my composure.  But the real reason why I successfully controlled my emotions and tears was watching my nephews eimran and Iz running around the mosque laughing.  It was soothing.  And I stopped crying instantly.  Kids do lighten up the heart. :)

My heart :) Eisyraff was not in because he was too buzy playing with the Ipad

It was a simple Akad Nikah.  Very traditional and it is in the house of Allah S.W.T.  i think it was the most appropriate place to do the Akad Nikah.  After the Akad Nikah, there was high tea.  Mom catered food for the majlis Akad Nikah.  It was yummy (According to guests), I did not ate cause I was not hungry.  I was not hungry because i was filled with emotions, therefore I lost my appetite to eat.  But was so happy that I get to hold hands with my husband in public without kena pandang Serong.  SAH AND HALAL!

The night of the Akad Nikah, I packed my stuff and straight away check into Ming Garden hotel.  Slept with cuzzy Naz.  Husband was still staying with the family.  Its kind of a tradition that my Dad asked me to follow.  Oh well, I just followed.  But the next morning, my husband, sister and my brother all came to the hotel room for the preparation of the Sanding Merenjis ceremony that was held at Dewan SESB Karamunsing.

Kris was SUPERB in the make up.  I love his detailed touches.  He knows his stuff in make up.

The Sanding ceremony was a bit hectic, but overall it was held really well.  There were LOTS of people!  But luckily, by 11am, some of the guests has already went back home.  But people kept on coming in and out!

The feeling of the Sanding ceremony was tiring.  Because of the constant smiles that I have to do.  Its tired okay smiling 24/7!

After the Sanding ceremony, thought it ends there?  Nooooooooooooo.  There is one more Ceremony to be completed and that was the Reception in JB which was One week after the event in KK.  And yes, Was very hectic for my mother-in-law and her family to prepare for the reception in Johor Bahru.  The venue was at Dewan Sultan Abu Bakar ( Previously knows as Dewan Maktab Sultan Abu Bakar).  It was at the English College area.

The reception it self was HUGE.  Because My husband was the eldest.  And it was the first marriage that my mother-in-law experience.  Therefore, they were going all out.  It was a good experience for me too.  Love the atmosphere.  Oh did I told you that on the day of the wedding reception it was raining heavily.  I mean it was raining with thunder and lighting.  Hujan Ribut time tu.  Orang kata kalau time kahwin Hujan rezeki melimpah limpah.  Wallahualam, but Aminn.  In sya Allah, rezeki datang dari Allah S.W.T and he will give it to those he wills.  In sya Allah, Amin.

Make up wise, I'm not that fond of the make up as it was not an appropriate make up to do for weddings.  Totally different from how Kris does it.

In JB me and my husband stayed at Thistle Hotel, while my family stayed at a home stay in Larkin Johor bahru.  15 minutes drive from my hotel to their homestay so it was really close by.  Homestay, everyone loved it and they are happy with it.  The only thing that it doesn't have was a water heater.  @_@

Make up was suitable for Photography purpose.  Not weddings.

Anyway, not much picture from the JB reception but will upload it in the next entry :D

So yea, I am now Mrs. Dayangku Mazrianah. :)  Officialy married to Mr. Muhammad Ruzaini :)

Friday is the day!

Today is Wedenesday, 1 more day will I be known as Mrs. Dayangku Mazrianah. I no longer an individual who holds no title, as I have embraced a larger and bigger responsibilities as a Wife :)

I've settled everything today. Wedding clothes, door gifts, hantaran and etc... Finally confirmed finally ending the years and month of waiting. :)

My solemnization baju looks unbelievably beautiful. And I'm right to choose the white lace in Euro Moda. I knew I that the moment I laid eyes on the lace, I fell in love with it. Had a touch of simple beadswork done :) have a look!

The tailor that made my solemnization clothes is Ellji in Wisma Merdeka. I've known Ellji since I was 9 years old. She have tailored alot of Clothes especially Baju Kurung and Especially Baju Kurung for Hari Raya.  And it was a great decision to choose her to do my wedding  Dresses :) 

I also did my Sanding Baju Kurung with her as well. Also a touch of beads here and there :) and if you recall perfectly, this was the kain i bought when I was in Medan Last year. It was a beautiful combination of colours. 

 

Champagne Blue. Such royal colours. Worth it! 

Fork out RM2000 for both these tailored wedding clothes. And it was the best and worthy investments that I have made :)

Preparing myself mentally for this Friday. Excited, happy, its all there :)

September is the month

Hi there! Its September!!!

The month I've been waiting for so long! 

It has been a crazy year for me. My work load increases, because i've been promoted at work PLUS not to forget organizing and coordinating things for my wedding. Double the work!

My head's been spinning since day 1 figuring things out for the wedding. 

Check list, check list!

I can't think of one cz everything is mixing up.

1) Baju nikah, sanding and reception

2) Kasut nikah, sanding and reception

5) Book dewan and masjid

10) Borang kebenaran nikah both sides

Okay so these are the only things that I can think of that has already been DONE!

I'll be flying of to KK this Saturday. Okay nervous and stress! Got lots of work to do in KK. 

Oh aaannnddd :) my baju for the reception in JB has completed! 

The baju was made by Kak Nani from Jarumas, ampang park. And it is gooorrrrgeeoouusss!!! 

This is the second fitting I went. Finally it is done. So after the second fitting will then Kak Nani put on all the finishing touches and sewing. Aaaaannddd I lot 2 inches this past few month. Hope that I don't gain weight! @_@ 

Right now I am buzy packing, all my stuff to pindah before I fly off to KK. And yes, triple more the stress!! Haiyaaaaa :((

1 MORE MONTH

Hi Yall!!

1 more month to go!! I think after August my nerve is kicking in.  Even right now I feel like I have butterflies in my tummy. :D

Anyway, Wedding invitation Done!!

There's alot of stories behind that Gorgeous simple looking card.  As me and my fiance have different opinion and taste, well, the argument is there. But we still have a win-win situation going on. :D

At first I wanted to have a smaller version of the card, and probably a bit more design on it.  My fiance prefers it to be simple, well I... creativity kicking in that time, and I wanted the card to look "SO the grand.

So the win-win situation was, he picked the design, where else I pick the colour of the card, the type of font used, the font colour and the colour of the inner paper.  And look what the result is?  Both of us are happy with the outcome.  Lucky me for choosing the colour!

So we went and did our card at LH creative in Pudu.  Very cheap plus, there's alot of card options to choose.  Also, they even gave us free buntings. xD  Total card that we ordered is 2100, they gave 15 extra, and the price for each card is RM0.80 cents.

And this is what the inside looks like!

Its actually a two page invitation address.  The upper invitation is for the KK side, the below invitation is for the reception in JB.  Love it!

Did a bit of modification to the card.  Gotta put in my creativity as well.  Can't stand it to follow the design just like that.  :D

AT LAST, my name is on a card inviting people. : D

2 MORE MONTH

Hi yall,

Its gonna be 2 more month till my big day. :)

So far, everything is according to plan and the check list.  Its quite emotional for me as well this past month. The stress coordinating everything until the marriage.

So we've settled our resort apartment.  Yes, resort apartment, not apartment apartment.  At D'rimba Kota Damansara.  Rm1600 per month.  Pfft what the hell just go for it.  So we divide the fee to two, so each will pay RM800 for the resort apartment.  One MAJOR item settled.  So we do not have to worry on a place to stay after we are married.  So my fiance will be staying at the resort apartment for now.  Hmm what?  Oh yea, we've already bought furnitures as well.  THAT is why I said that one MAJOR item has been settled.

So my veil, All settle!  I have completed my veil and it is gaaaawwwjuusssttt! :D

Modelled by my own very lovely niece Elisa :) Ain't she cute or what?!  And it took me quite a few months to complete it.  Because its a lace and the veil itself is a net, its not easy to sew the lace onto it.  You can't just use normal sewing because the thread is noticeable through the net.  Very tricky, and that is why it takes time to do this.  I was just being patient while doing this.

So far I've settled mainly everything, But why do I still feel worried???  I am such a perfectionist.

Anyway, 2 more month!  how time flies by.

VEIL SANDING DIY PART 2

FINALLY!! Veil conplete!! Well for the sanding in KK. It was a challenge, but saya jgk yg mau khawin kan, so suck it up and be patient :) 

There's a bit more touch up that I need to do.  But for the time being, Relax dulu.  Touch up to buat kejap jak. :)

So here it is!  PLEASE IGNORE THE MATA JULING FACE.  a month of sewing is not my cup of tea.  Mata pun pandai juling tgk benang and beads.  adedeiiii

DIY Veil Sanding

Hello There,

I took the liberty to make my own veil.

Rajin?  It all depends on your effort, innovation, creativity and patience!

Things you need:

• Brown paper for the Pola
• Your veil (Chiffon or Net)
• Lace/Border lace
• Scissors
• Lots and lots of Jarun Peniti
• Needle for sewing
• Benang
• Beads, you choice of pearl beads or normal beads

So what you'll need to do is, cut the Brown paper into a Pola.  It means that Cut the big brown paper into a Semi Circle or a letter 'D'.  It would be easier to cut if you have already an existing veil, lipat dua, put it on the brown paper, and cut according to the size.  If not then you will need to cut according to these length.

So, My measurement would be for the Number 1: 1.5-1.6 Meters, Number 2: 1.4-1.5 Meters depends on the length that you would like.  As for me, the length of my veil is paras pinggang, bawa sikit, and the length of Number 2 is at my siku.  So there you have it.

So first you need to cut the Pola and put it on the material that you want for you veil.  Like this!

Pin it with lots of Needle so that the material will not move around.  Trust me, letak banyak jarum peniti.  Nanti salah potong. :P  After, you will have the shape of a half circle!  Like this!

And the fun part is, you got to play with any designs you want!  like this few designs I did for instance.

Don't forget the Pearl Beads!!!

After a few moments, I tried it on, It was freaking heavy!! So I change the material and opted for Net Veil.

And betul, Tidak silap, memang lagi cun kalau pakail Net untuk Veil!  Ringan Giler!  And so I made up my mind and mula la jahit Lace tu. :)  Tapi before Jahit, I letak dulu lace yang I potong tu on the veil.  Pin kan dengan Jarum Peniti banyak banyak tau!  Jadi la Macam ni!

Puas hati tengok!  Sengaja bagi kosong on the top part.  Because I want to sew my Pearl beads on top! :)

Oh ya, Kain net tu I bought at Gulatis Euro Moda, around 14 ringgit per meter.  Tapi berbaloi jgk.  And the lace I beli full lace 2 meter at Nagoya Tesktil di Jalan TAR.  Border lace very the expensive.  Plus if you use Full lace, you akan dapat lagi banyak design and bunga2 on the lace and just patch it up on the veil.  

And so, Mula la menjahit.  2 hari juga la siap.  And this is the end result of the completed veil lace!

Yay!! Tapi JAP!! Belom siap lg ni.  jahit pearl beads will start today.  Dan akan mengambil masa yang agak lama.  So, patient!!! be patient. :) If you are patient, you will receive a beautiful end result at the very end of the day. :)

6 more month to go until the BIG DAY!!

I've been quite buzy this early of the year.  I was buzy preparing for the wedding!

Checklist Checklist Checklist.

Okay.  So I've done most of my shopping for my wedding clothes.  This is the part where money is crucially spent.  Just for the KAIN!

I've bought my Akad nikah material in Gulatis Euro moda Kota Damansara, as well as my reception in JB.  I've bought my Kain Sanding earlier in Medan which was in Champagne & Electric Blue in colour. Everything costs me around 1500++ just for the Kain.  And If I were to include the Tudung for the Akad Nikah, two veils and the Kain for the Pengapit, Everything costs around RM2420.  THAT and I have not yet bought my Tudung and Veil for the reception in JB. 

Those prices are considered cheap as I bought them in Jalan TAR and are Masjid India.  Very cheap, quality and beautiful! Please buy tudungs and veils in Jalan TAR and Masjid India.  There are TONS of them and very cheap too.  I bought my white beaded half moon shawl for my akad Nikah for only RM90.  Other places are selling it for like Rm100 ++ - RM200++ CRAZY! Sp better buy it here. :)

For the tailor parts.  Just for both my Akad Nikah and Baju Sanding in KK is around RM1100.  Luckily Mommy said she will sponsor the Door Gift.  Which consists of Silver Spoon and fork.  Very CUTE!  My cousin bought her wedding gift in this website,http://www.house-of-favors.com/.  She took the mug for her door Gift.

So insyallah, this will be my door gift!


















 

At least my door gift is usable.  AT FIRST I wanted to give them you know those really nice and cute fans?  Yep those, but then Mommy said better give them something that they would use and if you give them a fan, some of them would just throw it away.  *Ya betul jgk*. :P

So door gift is settled by my mom.  Now what is left for me to do is the invitation card, which Me and Jai is suppose to do later in May, Send my baju to the tailor for the reception in JB, Buy stuff for hantaran, aaaaaaaannnddd, some other accessory essential for me during my wedding, ex: Inai, brooch, Shoes and etc...

6 more month to go!!! Sekejap lg tu!

Officially Engaged!!!

Hello All!!

I am officially engaged!!!

During the engagement ceremony the situation was intense.  Well for me.  Because i was soooo nervous.  Lucky for me, my cousins as well as few of my friends were there during my nervous breakdown.  :D  Love you lots!

Anyway, here are the pictures during the engagement day :D  A very happy day for me. :)

So there you have it.  I am officially engaged!! :)  Insyallah the wedding will be on the 14th of September 2014 (Sunday)  it will be held at the Tabung Haji Hotel Ballroom in Sembulan.  Can't wait!  Well obviously I am just starting to get buzy with things. :(

Nikah will be in the morning and Sanding will be in the afternoon all in that one whole day.
